ophcrack
The last entry in my list is also the best one. Ophcrack provides one of the fastest and most successful password recovery options. This program also comes in the form of a bootable disc image which can be used if users do not have a separate Windows user account to reset the Windows password.
JohntheRipper

John the Ripper is a great freeware program that helps crack the Windows password. The application uses both paid and free wordlist files which it needs to operate.
LCP
LCP is a standard Windows program you download from LCPSoft’s website and install inside of Windows, meaning you’ll need access to a user account no the computer.
cain
Cain and Abel is another password recovery program that we need to run from another Windows user account. The application recovers passwords impressively faster than its competition and provides several recovery methods.
Offline
Offline NT Password & Registry Editor provides users with a great solution in case they have been running their computer on a single user account and have forgotten the password to it. We download a CD image from the program’s website, burn it on to disc, and boot from that CD to remove our Windows account password.
